I think we can all agree that capeshit movies have overstayed their welcome. Hollywood should've stopped making them in 2010s. I think 2012 specifically would've been a good send-off year for the whole superhero cinema experiment because that was the year both Avengers 1 and Dark Knight Rises came out and concluded Marvel's Phase 1 and Nolan's Dark Knight Trilogy respectively.

I don't watch super hero movies. Only one I've seen was Iron man and that was it.

But yeah, they are milking the genre to shit.

The Hulk 2008 was really good in my opinion.

It saddens me how much Marvel and DC have fallen.

I wish they would take a more serious approach that's grounded in reality.

The Batman (2022) and Joker (2019) are great films.

Nolan already did the "grounded and realistic" Batman and did it better. As for the Joker, it's so different from the source material it can barely be called a comicbook movie.

You could apply this approach to really any character though, and it would improve the story massively.

The hulk could work great if done this way. Daredevil works great like that as well.

DC is trying to copy the marvel formula of inserting cringe jokes into every scene. It removes the tension, and makes the story less suspenseful.

I didn't even bother seeing the recent Superman movie.

We should only have historic or medieval fantasy films

As I said in my original post, I think the whole superhero genre has overstayed its welcome. A Daredevil movie that takes itself seriously would be interesting in late 2000s or early 2010s but now the idea just makes me want to puke. I'm tired of seeing capeshit everywhere.

All DC needed to do to print money was to make a Batman trilogy with the aesthetics and the worldbuilding of the Arkham games but they're too retarded to do that.

Me neither. I don't know why normiefags love James Gunn so much. He hasn't made a single good movie in his entire life.

I think any live action movie that requires copious amounts of CGI to be made should be an animated movie instead. Something like LotR would work much better in animation.

Or just don't rely heavily on cgi like lotr....
