I saw a documentary about how she may have been raped by a Roman soldier but they wouldn't count that as sex in Jewish society. Though can just make anything up you like. There's no historical documents from the time regarding any of the people concerned to be found, the Bible was written later. There's major stuff that should really be documented like the Roman census where everyone had to return to their hometown of birth for tax purposes. To me that's like taking advantage of vulnerable people. I'd just want to help them in purely material terms. Mainly helping them help themselves rather than giving free handouts.
They generally would if they're going to get free food or support they otherwise wouldn't get.
I never forced anyone. All we did was ask people if they needed clothes or food. They saw the Holy Spirit in us and all they do is pursue a conversation with us. About 80-90% of people didn't take gospel tracts from my hand

It's kind of like how Muslim grooming gangs don't technically force any of the underage girls it's more like a coercion of someone in a vulnerable situation for their own gain. I don't agree with anything like that all even if it's just coercion into a religion. If someone wants to join a faith of their own free volition that's fine.
But you had an underlying motivation to convert them to your own carry on and add to your flock. It wasn't entirely selfless you had an agenda of your own that benefits yourself that involves taking advantage of people in a weak situation. So I'm very much against that carry on.
The whole convert/repent or go to hell after you die business is another deeply sordid part of this mental manipulation brainwashing/technique. This will have a great deal of leverage on people who are in a weak/vulnerable situation. Threats like Hell don't affect me in slightest at all though I feel the same level of distaste at I would feel if someone said "I gonna rape your mom" or something along those lines. I don't think they actually ever will so I'm not intimidated by it but I don't appreciate the sentiment. Fuck your mom as well then.
It was a man desperate for help and it tends to be religions that offer this help and community and what have you. But they offer this help for ulterior motives like I said it's not purely because they feel like being nice. You can feel like being nice without a religion.

Coercion and psychological manipulation not so much force. That's what Christianity and Islam are all about ultimately that's why they're the 2 most prominent religions on Earth. They both have the same basis of eternal reward/punishment system though Islam is about obedience to authority for reward and Christianity is all about sin and guilt, and ultimately obedience to the authority that will alleviate all this. Set up the problem then provide the solution, carrot and the stick.
They may be seeking something for whatever reason but religions like Christianity or Islam is very effective at levering itself in as they employ some very clever psychological tricks and they both offer immortality after death. No other current day religion really offers such a thing, at least not a bodily resurrection. That's kind of a relatively new thing, possibly the Ancient Egyptians believed something like that and this fed into the later Roman Mystery cults and eventually into Christianity/Islam. It was never in Judaism or the Old Testament at all, when they mention heaven they're literally talking about the sky and hell/seoul is the under the ground.
Well yes no-ones perfect but to me that's a good thing. What would happen if you literally removed everyone "sin"?

It's a decent piece of poetic literature a bit like a Shakespearean play, the Iliad of Homer Bhagavad Gita , J.R.R Tolkien and whatnot. It's not literally from anything supernatural but I think it came from something deep in the human psyche. I'm not entirely sure what that is exactly, but that's my view of it. Religion in general I don't mind though there certain aspects of the two most prominent ones I find distasteful. Particularly anything to do with an eternal Hell. I don't mind the Old Testament so much as that's never mentioned in it. Ironically the 'nicer' part of the Bible with Jesus is the worst part of it because that's when that whole eternal torment thing comes into play. Even the Quran isn't quite as bad as apparently Allah lets you out if he thinks you've roasted in the fire long enough.

Not everyone lives that long, some people die as young children and babies. And you have the people living on Sentinel Island it's not like they ever heard of Jesus. Neither did neanderthals in the ice age. They're basically in Hell for being in the wrong place at the wrong time.
