I have been attempting to enhance my conversation and social skills for years but I am not improving. I have watched hundreds of videos on YouTube and read through many websites regarding this topic, and yet I still feel stuck. I have tried talking to people in real life, but it is more of an embarrasment ritual and I don't feel it makes much of a difference. I can respond better through texts where I can think about what I am going to say for a minute or so + I am not on the spot, but in real life it's a challenge.

It has gotten to the point where I can't talk without having a major urge to swallow continuesly. And I have a tick where I feel another big urge to make my eyes look to the top left of my vision for a split second at a time. If I make eye contact with someone longer than a second or so I cannot focus on what they are saying and just feel super uncomfortable.

I understand that social skills and appearence is not mutually exclusive, but I still want to improve.

Any tips on how to improve conversational/social skills?

This happens over time with people naturally

have good genetics

Practicing in front of a mirror is probably important because I think incels have poor facial expressions.

Be a Neurotypical

Past high school and especially past college I don't think you can really improve social skills, I think it's set in stone by then. But you can try.

Even when I was in high school (late 90s, no Youtube) I hated the pressure of needing to improve my social skills. When I was in like 10th grade some old man suggested I read the book "How To Win Friends and Influence People" and I was like "Nope, forget that."

Exactly, this stuff comes effortlessly and naturally to normies even by age 12. If you feel like you don't have anything to say when you're around them, while they drone on endlessly about whatever inane stuff they talk about constantly (normies are always talking and it's almost always some inane stuff), then it's probably not going to happen for you, in my experience anyway.

The average normie speaks 16,000 words a day. Think about that and how much talking and socializing that is that came effortlessly and naturally to them.

Genuinely the only thing that can make you more confident is high testosterone, as this is biologically grounded in terms of androgen receptor activation in certain brain regions. This can either be done naturally through an active lifestyle and training (which can be hard) or TRT and steroids. There is no other fix for being high inhib, and i am speaking from experience :feelsmage:

Copy others who behave normally.

Semen retention (no ejaculation) for months is a free and natural way of increasing testosterone

Just copy whatever meme is in the moment.

I've tried recording myself but there is nothing I can change. It's just my face I guess, speaking slower does help though

I've read sections of the book, it's no different from half the videos on YouTube. My Dad couldn't speak to people outside of his family until he was in his early 20s though, then he improved a lot with some friends he had.

That is Insane. I have gone through numerous consecutive days when I would only speak praying in the car. 16K is mental

If someone ejaculates once per week, to then going completey cold turkey, I doubt there would be much of a difference in test levels as your body naturally replenishes the source. But if you are jerking daily/numerous times per day then I would see and issue there.

Upbringing and personality is a large factor as well on how confident/social you are. If your parents have great social skills and confidence then most of the time the offspring would be too (estimating). Putting myself out there would help though

No social skills for my face, or yours either.
