So a few days ago I kinked my back in bed and started slowing down on lifting. Today I was deadlifting my usual load (I only have so many weights at home) and had some kind of failure where my middle back slouched involuntarily. Now my back, which has been a cunt my whole life, is acting up again. My stomach hurts, too. I'm up to 240 lbs with a 43 inch gut.

I swear I will kill myself if this is as bad as I think.

Deadlifts are not needed for bodybuilding. Period. They are good for building raw strength but you don't need that anyway if you are just bodybuilding for looks, which lets be honest here is what 90+% of gymcelers are doing. Every muscle group that the deadlift hits can be targeted with other far less dangerous exercises and possibly even better.

I do need the strength. I'm a failure in life and strength comes in handy often. You don't even need to deadlift that much to pass average people up.

My stool is coming out fine, but my stomach is way too irritable atm.

Deadlifts are one of the best execises you can do. They cover your entire rear muscle chain effectively. It is not dangerous either if you focus on correct form. Deadlifts resemble a natural movement that you should apply when picking up heavy stuff after all.
You could hurt yourself pretty badly if you are very unflexible, not properly warmed up or executing them with bad form, e.g. round lower back, arms not stretched out, losing tension while lifting etc. But this applies to many other exercises as well like squats or barbell bent over row.
Avoiding to properly learn and use these kind of compound exercises mostly just causes muscular imbalances and makes you more prone to injuries.
