which pokemon generation is best when it comes to anime?

I really like generation 4. While it wasn't my first introduction to series but it had better parallel plotlines imo which were fun to follow like whole arceus and future sight pokemons and team galactic's arc and Hunter J were too based and dark villains were for something like pokemon. and paul was a better rival than gary was. it had best pokemon league electivire vs infernape was better than blastoise vs charizard. while gen 1 is nostalgic i feel gen 4 had best storyline out of all and went really dark for the demographic it was targetting.
Also after that anime just went in different art direction with flashy stuff for zoomers

The entire Kanto saga was good for nostalgia but regarding development, rival, story, side characters etc The entire Sinnoh Arc is best.

Gen 5 was lacking, but Gen 6 had great animation and battles.
