I assume this was posted here, but on the off chance it wasn't. JFL. People are taking it seriously as well. It's even framed in relation to the Tinder height filter.

“Nowadays, you don’t pick on people’s looks, do you? It’s like kind of a new understanding over the last 10 or 15 years, you don’t deride people for what they look like,” the 5ft 4in actor, 78, told Elizabeth Day’s How to Fail podcast, admitting he had seen his shorter than average height as a problem in life.

“You had the fat acceptance movement, and while there’s still issues, you would never go, ‘well, how much do you weigh’? But it’s perfectly acceptable for people to go, ‘how tall are you’?” she said.
This guy is best known for being in Blackadder, where his character was (naturally) a punching bag for the tall main character. :soy:

Women openly mocking short men shouldn't be a hate crime and short men able to file lawsuits.

It should be treated like a business denying someone on behalf of race.

Women are doing a hate crime.

This is why fat shaming must be normalized, if society won't do an effort to treat short men with respect then fatties deserve to be brutally mocked too especially since their weight is actually under their control

Certainly fat women in the dating world. Fatties in general mostly know they're fat and hate themselves already (like me).

Glad he has said something

I know there are plenty of successful short actors, but with the exception of Tom Cruise, they all have to play on their shortness a little bit.

reminder: there is no status, money, gym, confidence etc for your height, face and frame

If you're American you should pester your state representatives and senators about this

Won't happen even if I try.

Just write a low effort letter with GPT, and call them to make sure it actually gets to the chief of staff

Not going to dox myself but I've actually made some headway including one instance where I actually did manage to speak to an elected official. with the state Senate and state House of Representatives, if you pester the legislative staff you can pretty much ensure that at least the chief of staff reviews your proposal, and you have a decent chance of getting it to the elected official themselves. With federal Elected officials yeah they'll usually just have some policy analyst deflect you but with state government it's different
