Has anyone here reached their soft cap at one activity/hobby/cope?

I haven't really tried anything in my life other than LDAR, so I'm curious about the other end of the spectrum. Has anyone tried practicing a sport, an art, or any cope and reached their hard limit and been like "OK I can't improve beyond this level"?

I would be very happy to be even mediocre at anything. A sport, an instrument, doesn't matter. My head is too foggy and my life is always in constant chaos so I never have time to learn shit.

I reached diamond 3 in league, if that counts. Mythic raiding at ok-ish level in WoW but nothing in any guild worth mentioning.

Think there is no reason to give it your all when you are all alone. You try in part to impress your friends, to compete with them. Without real friends I was mostly just alone and didn't care to get too into anything just for myself. WoW and LoL both are social games and I did get mostly as high as my gaming group before I stopped caring to get any higher. Although not totally true for WoW. We had people get recruited into pretty good guilds at time. Think the social aspect plays a big role. Second only to talent / innate disposition.

For me, spirituality is everything. There is something greater out there that many people don’t realize. Spirituality is limitless. There's no soft cap in spirituality because spiritual progress isn't a linear journey where you reach a certain point and then can't improve further. Like when someone masters a sport or art, there's often a point where improvement becomes really hard. But spirituality is more like a quest that never really ends, because the more you explore, the more you realize that there's always more to understand and discover. Instead of a cap, it's more like a vast ocean that keeps expanding the deeper you go into it.
