I signed up for many years ago with Tom Hess's site on tips for how to play guitar faster.
I still get these retarded emails about " 11 tips to play faster" and " what ever guitarist does ".

These are dumb on 2 levels. They have been spamming me for years.
And secondly there is no way to get fast at guitar unless you have good genetics for it.

For example I'm pretty fast and technical at piano, but my guitar speed was always capped. I can play most riffs easily but I always crap out at solos.

These course sellers never mentioned it's all genetics. That applies to anything not just guitar.

The speed at which you can play guitar is not at all related to your genetics, unless you have some sort of genetic deformity or something. If anything, the fact that you can play piano fast is proof that you are capable of learning to play guitar fast.

Out of curiosity - in what way are you not good at playing solos?
