I came to the realization that American politics has been reduced to the level of the goddamned Super Bowl. It's always the same two teams. The winners get to wave their "We're Number One!" fingers, the losers keep claiming "Aw, we'll getcha next time." And nothing much gets done either way. What does get done always BOHICAs the taxpayer.
