The first sign of affection between actors gives you the ick. Reactions might vary according to your age: if you are in your 20s, you will feel sad that you cant have it, but past 35 you will feel hate and disgust when you see the happy couples, happy families, kids running around gardens, etc. and at some point you will not be able to watch movies anymore.
It happened to me in 2023, I stopped watching movies in the first 10-15 minutes when the first happy couple or happy family appeared. Literally dumped it no matter how much hyped it was. To fix it, I started watching old western movies, because they had near zero affection between actors, and there was no happy family scenes, only psychos in the middle of nowhere. Then in 2024 I started watching anime, where scenes of affection and happiness didnt bother me due to being drawings.
Today I see people hyping stuff on Netflix, and I have zero interest on it. For instance, I did watch the old polish Witcher series in 2010, but didnt bother with the reboot, no matter how hyped it was. I eventually see people, even incels, hyping new movie stuff, and even if it is a blackpilled story I dont bother downloading it, because I know I will not watch it, since there will be some chad fucking stacies at some point. As for porn, I dont consume it since 2019 and feel extreme disgust at it.

The Star Trek movie series has some romance-esque plot points, but it's not obnoxious.
