Mostly happens on real life arguments, on real life when someone is on the losing side or can't comprehend your logical argument they will attack you personally (ad hominem) when arguing this is even more boosted when that attacking person has a HALO EFFECT, but over the internet you're more likely to logically argue with someone than on real life, of course personal attack still happens
