we don't need a movement because there will still be men intelligent enough to say "this isn't worth it" "i don't wanna do this"It's more or less a dead movement. People realized that the concept of "MGTOW" is pretty stupid, and hard to define either way.
In general a man who has "gone his own way" would be someone who chooses to be a perpetual bachelor, who are unmarried and either don't engage with foids at all or only engage with them casually (hooking up, escortmaxxing, etc.) and not have LTRs. Of course, the Chads are still getting laid and the ones who are actually incel pretend like they have a choice in their incelibacy.
But yeah, MGTOW is a dead movement, especially post-COVID and during this TikTok era. The ones who were the most visible in the movement seem to be Gen X and millennial Chads trying to convince guys to focus on hooking up instead of getting a gf, back when the black pill was still immature and the red pill was the dominant philosophy.
I remember in the later parts of the previous decade, when I started to get into the 'manosphere' and was watching YouTube videos about all of these concepts, there was the "red pill" which basically tried to explain the truth about female nature (namely that all women are promiscuous and hypergamous, that when you are in a relationship with a woman it's only "your turn" before she monkey-branches to the next guy) but never explained the cause of men being rejected despite their efforts or how physical traits in a man play a role in attracting women, which contrasts with the "black pill" which does explain the reasons, and of course there was the "blue pill" which is this fairy-tale ideal of an everlasting romantic relationship (going on dates, getting married, having a family together, dying together) most men nowadays are socialized into believing.
And then there was the "purple pill" which was the combination of both the "red pill" and the "blue pill". I don't remember how it was exactly explained, but basically those who took the "red pill" choose not to engage with any interaction with a woman (basically becoming a volcel or going monk mode) whereas those who took the "purple pill" still choose to engage with women as hook-ups.
