And there's this bit where he's driving and the music... it reminds me of TimeSplitters 2.

And right there WOW that's two amazing games!! Classic Counter-Strike and TimeSplitters 2!

I just feel like back in the day we were absolutely spoiled with amazing games and now... it's like MOST games are pretty bad. You get gems for sure but they're rare.

Just by thinking a little i can think of many amazing titles i have played during that time and it was just on PC on consoles you also had plenty of great games that i could only play through emulation. This is a chart of great games of just 2005:

Yeah games were that stacked while nowadays it's just nothing for most of the year. Endless UE5 unoptimized and ugly looking garbage and also demakes/demasters.

Timesplitters 2 is the only game made by them that aged very well and is still fully playable and fun. Always changing atmosphere and variety of guns and locations was amazing.

2004 games that are either loved by me or also by others. Some were not beaten by me fully (kotor, vampires and ninja gaiden), it was harder to fill out than 2005 list as i just started expanding my horizons in 2004 and i went into variety gamer in 2005.

Around that time i have never knew about Sega outside of Crazy Taxi, Virtua Fighter/Tennis, Sega Rally, Outrun 2 and Sonic. Shadow and Yakuzas were not on PC. So yeah i couldn't play them no matter what. It took me over a decade to finally play Yakuzas.

I guess the best Sega games were from about 1985 to 2003, on the whole.

Not that there weren't great games by them from outside of that timeframe though.
