The fact is ethnic issues have existed since the dawn of man. The Grug tribe hated the brug tribe for looking different. In history every big multicultural empire had ethnic tensions that could never be really resolved. Romans, ottomans, russians etc. Hell even Chinese empires had ethnic issues and they all look the same or at least are very similar.
It's better to accept that races are different and are treated differently in society. That way you know what to expect and how to adjust accordingly.
