Jared Diamond in his book "Collapse" he shows that civilizations don't collapse suddenly, but gradually, often without the majority of people realizing it in time.

The collapse of societies is comparable to an iceberg: there is the visible surface, which corresponds to a form of collective denial or social torpor. A kind of deceptive tranquility and stability maintained by routine, comfort, entertainment like vidya and music, screens, everything that distracts us from what is really happening.

Meanwhile, the submerged mass is melting:

A slow, invisible, insidious erosion , foundations are weakening and balances are being disrupted... Let us remember that no civilization has survived to this day.

When I read Sir John Glubb's essay on the decline of Baghdad and his description of the extraordinary influence of pop singers on young people, where obscene sexual language was increasingly used, as we see today in hip hop culture, I couldn't help but think of some of today's productions:

When he referred to the writings of contemporary historians that are still available today, they lamented the degeneration of the era, the indifference towards religion and virtues, the growing materialism, the corruption of civil servants, the loosening of sexual morals, and the prevalence of (((politicians))) enriching themselves through their public offices. I felt as if they were describing any contemporary Western culture and the White House.

We are in the age of decadence that follows the age of intellect.
the era of robotics will prevent the collapse. This old man is coping.

If AI and robots replace humans, who will earn money to buy their products? How will they achieve eternal, cancerous growth without customers to create demand for their products? Robots don't go to the movies or restaurants. This will inevitably create social tensions as people become devalued and nihilistic because demographics are destiny. That's why Japan imports pajeets instead of relying on their robotics.

They've already launched and have proven that one can produce a human being in an artificial way. There are going to be artificially made humans in incubators and we will enter a new world. It is just a matter of time until they make it real and normalize everywhere.

"“Many health risks emerge at different ages—not to mention mental health issues,” he said

The absence of a maternal bond will have negative psychological and cognitive consequences ,a society with artificially created humans is not sustainable

what if they master the process and eliminate any risks that may discredit their work ? The Great New World was literally a prediction for the future.

I mean, I see two possibilities that will radically change the world, but in both cases there will be enormous human costs, namely:

> The system continues to evolve, maintaining or strengthening technological control, which would entail enormous psychological, social, and environmental costs.

Or

> The system collapses, due to its instability it provokes, which would also result in human suffering and considerable disruption but better in the long term for 99% of people https://www.planetcritical.com/p/luke-kemp

first one is more possible in my own honest opinion. You see how things are evolving. Self-driving cars , self-checkouts , limiting free speech through an automated system that detects whenever you say something bad about a controversial topic and so on.

We are already living in a dystopia but it is going to get much worse as technology progresses.

Humans are evolving way too fast and we cannot live without technologies. We are dependent on them more than any other period in the human history.

The average gen Z person cannot unplug his toilet , change their tires hell even think for themselves hence why CHATGPT is what the majority of humans nowaday use to get information on anything , really.

We've already entered the new era and It's terrifying. I see no other way that things could play out.
