As the quality of life on this planet declines rapidly over the next few decades due to food shortages, droughts, mass migrations from regions inundated by sea level rise, geopolitical conflicts, and more frequent pandemics as a result of global climate change I think we will see just how unnatural and brief the era of female empowerment has been in human history.
I would argue it’s always been human nature to not care at all what the female of the species wants or what makes them comfortable and for the male of the species to do whatever is necessary to get what it wants. Things like murder and rape obviously weren’t crimes but male nature in order to secure their share in their survival. This biological order has been the normal order of things for 99% of human history.
The only thing that has paused this order is an era of mostly tranquility and stability that has drawn us away from our animalistic desires. Think about it, if you live in a developed Western nation the last 50 years or so has brought no major conflicts or anything outside of mostly local catastrophes. The United States has not had an era of great hardship and challenge since the end of WW2 sure we’ve had other more minor conflicts since like the wars in Vietnam and Iraq but nothing that really impacts the functionality of the government or the average person’s life
This era devoid of massive conflicts and catastrophes has allowed us to mask all the barbaric shit that comes from being a human especially a male behind the protective shield of a peaceful and properly functioning society. Global Climate Change is the wildcard that will bring all that down I believe.

The drought in France is especially brutal worst in the country’s reported history I believe which has lead to massive crop failure. Their are large crop failures and livestock die offs in the farming regions of the United Sates as well. This is really only the beginning of an eventual massive drop off of food availability. The breadbasket portions of countries will continue to be impacted by permanent droughts that lead to widespread crop failures and food shortages. Countries that export food around the world will have to severely cut back on their exports leading to wide reaching food shortages across the globe
We’ve already seen the massive food problems that can happen when a major food export country stops shipping out food look at the impacts globally from Ukraine having to halt their grain exports briefly during the Russian invasion. What about mass migrations? There is a reason that the alt right anti immigration beliefs are on the rise across the West. Catastrophes and conflicts have led millions of refugees to flood the borders of many Western nations seeking refuge. It was just a few years ago the Yucatán Peninsula had one of the worst hurricane seasons on record forcing hundreds of thousands to migrate and start flooding to the U.S border. This is where the crisis on the border whining has come from the GOP the U.S is seeing a large influx of people seeking entry into the country from regions that are becoming more and more uninhabitable from climate change
Central America will get really fucked up from Climate change. Their tropical coastal regions will be largely inundated from sea level rise the amount of powerful hurricanes that will start going through there from higher ocean water temperatures that increase the severity of hurricanes will make things that much worse. Not just in Central America either most of Indonesia is projected to be uninhabitable from the same things over the next few decades as well. This will lead to massive migrations out of regions that are uninhabitable into Western countries whose anti immigration beliefs will only grow the more these migrants come flooding in
Pandemics well…..we are already seeing the increase there (Covid, Monkeypox, Polio is even popping up in a lot of places again) Geopolitical conflicts are on the rise (Russian invasion of Ukraine) and will only continue rise but not over politics but over dwindling resources
