The Lord instructs us to be in the world, but to abstain from being of the world. We can work amongst unbelievers, speak amongst unbelievers, and interact like everyone else - But our identity is not rooted in this world. Our purpose and desires are to be different. While the world chases pleasure and self-glorification, we are called to obey God.
And whilst we are in the world, we are to spread the Gospel to every creature - as this is our purpose on earth.
