Who else remembers those days ^_^
It's strange because often I find myself playing a game like 70% because I enjoy it but 30% because of some form of progression.
This makes me wonder how I would do if I only had an Atari or another old machine.
I think the way we used to do it oftentimes is to make challenges for ourselves. Who could get the high score, etc.
Also... apparently back on the Commodore, games like Ultima gave you codes to input when you went back on the game to recover your progress or at least most of it.
That's wild! Imagine having to leave for school or whatever and scribbling down a code like that for later, trying desperately to not write it wrong!
Anywho, just something I was thinking about!
