At 5'10, measured bare foot in a doctors office I am slightly above average for an adult male in America. The average height in America for adult men is 5'9.5.
In the actual real world in my high school that was mainly upper middle class white people in the area, I was in the bottom 10% for height. I found this out when my class was in grade 12 and we were preparing for pictures for the graduation in rehearsal where everyone would stand. And they got all the boys to line up tallest to shortest.
There was only a few manlets that were shorter than me, out of 125 boys in my grade.
