I watched both and I think the golden age arc had much more detail put into the ending with all the demons, but the 1997 character design was better imo

One friend told me to watch berserk, i tried watching it and oh my god man like it's so painful to watch a literal 2 meter chad killing some normies/sub5s. Hell nah I aint watching that. Vinland saga in the other side, is a lot better. Thorfinn is not exactly sub5, but is very rare to see sub5s in anime really, at least he is not chad. He is baby faced. It's a lot more relatable than guts. Also Canute is very relatable.
I didnt even bother watching second season because what I seen is that all characters become chads and i honestly dont like philosophy heavy anime. Is boring and idrc.
Most Anime fans dislike the way Vinland Saga developed, I wouldnt recommend it to anyone although its good written.
Berserk is better unless u cant bear being on a cuckchair for an episode or two
