Why is "Berserk" taking so long to finish? Besides the obvious reason, of course.

The last chapter of Berserk came out eighth months (and four days) ago...

Eight months ago

I know that Kentaro Miura is gone, but I am still confused as to why his team can't produce a chapter of Berserk in a timely manner.

I am not "rushing art," I am worried that Miura's legacy will be tarnished by nonsense like taking eight months to produce a single chapter.

Let's be honest - the dialogue of Berserk has gone down hill, now the speech is minimal and the artwork is good - but not "8-months-worth-good."

Kentaro Miura was able to crank out chapters of Berserk in a timely fashion - his underlings can't.

What really worries me - is that there is probably a foid on the Berserk production team.

She looks even younger to be honest

Basically Griff(t)in

As in - Griffith's story is taking a long time to finish? Sure, I accept that - but, I don't want to wait eight months for a new chapter. Kentaro Miura explained to the Berserk production team how the entire story was supposed to end before he passed away - so what's taking so long?

It's annoying for fans - because, Kentaro Miura was (like many mangaka) a talented artist and a talented writer... I know there's a damn femon on the Berserk production team changing her tampon while she should be working.

What are you talking about? The release has been on par with Miura's, chapters when miura was alive came out super late as well. This is not a problem of the artist, but more so about Young Animal which is the main editorial or whatever the word is in english. This is why the boat arc took fucking fovered and it was the only thing that we had for like years.

This is not the fault of Koji Mori. If you think that his best friend won't be able to live up to standards just stop reading. if you're just frustrated with the release, that's relatable as i'm the same, waiting for a new chapter for fucking ages.

The release has been on par with Miura
I think at least 70% of fans have an incredibly hard time believing that.

I'll check the wiki.

It has been always hard, catching up to the latest chapters and then having to wait forever for another 15 pages. It's hard on weekly to monthly releases, in this particular case where you get 2 chapters on a good year? yeah good luck.

Fans are either loving the new chapters or just trashing Guts latest development. But yeah i know for a fact everyone is dissatisfied with the release schedule. But from what i've remember and what older fans say(more reliable than me) the release has been on par if not better nowadays, which is not that better as it takes ages still.

@sadlemon Let's use the Conviction Arc as an example:

Start episode #95 - Young Animal #5 on the 28 February 1997

episode #96 - Young Animal #6 on the 14 March 1997

episode #97 - Young Animal #7 on the 28 March 1997

episode #98 - Young Animal #8 on the 11 April 1997

episode #99 - Young Animal #10 on the 9 May 1997

episode #100 - Young Animal #11 on the 23 May 1997

Need I go on? Berserk is being released at a MUCH slower rate.

Berserk will be finished in 2035.
Either you put up with the 4-5 chapters a year or you dont.
Still better than what game of thrones fans get (0)

This is why I only like to engage in fictional media that is already finished tbh

I understand that. Berserk is an interesting case, because - the only two (off the top of my head) things left for Guts and Griffith to do is:

  1. Griffith needs to become and declared ruler of most of the mortal world, to put it simple.
  2. Guts needs to be with Casca. We all know that the only "happiness" Guts and Casca will ever have - will be "standing on the beach together looking at the sunset."
That is it.

Your genetics failed you

Over because now you would have to have sex with an oblivious imbecile some guys may prefer that

You guts guys want to know a creepy fact about how manga can sometimes "predict" real events?

The episode realased April of 1999, a few days before REB and VoDKa went Berserk - the chapter released was:

Another typical Boston fan

That's right.

11 days before they missed that morning bowling class - "Bowels of the Holy Ground" was published (9th of April 1999).

Typical night in Boston

Typical Boston behavior
