Watching Berserk felt like I was cucking myself

Berserk is such a painful watch because you are being forced to go through the excruciating worship of the prettyboy Griffith.
The anime would have been better if not for Griffith cucking the viewer regularly and him being worshiped by the King of Midland's daughter and some of the official foids in the king's palace.
Idk how people can watch that shit and feel fine with it or not care it literally is the blackpill reincarnate - the anime.
Wish the story focused primarily on Guts and I also wish that the nobles killed this obnoxious shithead Griffith.
My favorite character from Berserk was Julius because he was based and tried to assassinate Griffith.

The king was cucked to begin with for worshiping someone like Griffith. He could have hired someone similar in power to Zodd the immortal to wipe out entire armies instead of paying the hawks. Across the Midlands there definitely were some, but he was probably stingy. There definitely were other mercenary groups similar to the Hawks in power as well.

Though, I theorise that, because the Holy see is midlands official religion, the king himself must appear like his upholding the faith.
So he wouldn't want people, aside from his most trusted generals and advisors to know that he has command over wyald, who's an apostle.

Calling a grimdark-like dark fantasy shounen edgy slop is something alright, if you didn't like it that's one thing but what you just said is like getting mad that there is romance in a romantic comedy.

AOT is plenty edgy as well, there's no getting edgier than chapter 1. Still if you did not like berserk that's completely fine, just don't say it's edgy slop cause you surely didn't read enough slop yet.

Berserk is a good story cause it is realistic and BLACKPILLED. If you want escapism watch SAO or the show where the manlet get a gf (dagers in my heart). if not. then stay.
In rl its the same as there. Guts gets cucked by the prettyboy griffith and once griffith gets tortuted for his sins he drags all of them with him only to ascend even further.
