I find myself becoming more and more depressed. The depression will become worse in the winter; I know that from experience.

Has anyone here found any supplements that help? I am currently taking turmeric, fish oil, vitamin C, a multivitamin, and several types of fibers...with limited effect.

does anyone know of anything else? I don't want to take pharma meds, although I am open to that.

Thank you

A vagina probably

A driver licence.

alcohol and weed. i just got a six pack of supplements

Vitamin D bro.

You mention winter, which is when you get the least sunlight, so you may be deficient.

I just cope with junk food

Cyanide might help

Pussy is nature’s cure for everything

Just go for the anti-depressants. Its what I did. I'd recommend Paroxetine(Paxil) or Amitriptyline.

try xanax with vodka, its a good mix.

@RageAgainstTDL has recommemded St. John's wort. I've never tried it, though.

I've noticed a few natural things that improve my mood: coffee and tea, probably owing to their caffeine and l-theanine in the case of tea- coffee consumption has an inverse correlation with suicide risk; related to the first, l-theanine on its own, which I take in powder form, is a bit anti-depressive; exercise, though its effect is pretty small; eating lots of fruits and vegetables, which just seems to improve my mood generally; and vitamin D at a high dose (I take 5000IU per day).

Try vitamin d if it gets worse in winter.

Thanks. I might eventually do that. But I tried that once and just gained weight without seeing any change. I might try it again tough. Good to see its working for you.
Thanks. I've been doing that. I'm also doing lots of exercise as well.

Good thinking. I will do that as well.
Try phenibut or shrooms
Thank you. I might try phenibut, but it does seem kind of risky.

Thanks a lot for this. I have noticed the positive effects of caffeine as well. I'll try l-theanine, it sounds good (I've just read a bit on it). I've noticed benefits with fruits as well.

Be careful about the vitamin D however. Too high doses can be extremely dangerous. It is an oil-soluble vitamin, meaning that it stays in your body for a long while. so you can easily overdose on it.

I don't want to rope as long as my parents are alive. Once they die, I would seriously consider it.

I'd get blood work done to confirm Vitamin D deficient. Some wacky stuff can happen to your mind when you're deficient on that shit.

That winter shit. It got me every time.
When trees start loosing their leaves, birds fly south, the cold sets in and everything turns grey and dead.
Knowing that for the next 6 months you'll be coping with porn and television.

Fuck that shit. Migrated to a tropical country and it's a bit better now. Still lonely as fuck though.

i would say money for me

What ever you do, dont use weed. Itll make it much worse.

Go for a walk or jog. I find it relaxing

Well what helped me was going out for a walk(but not in a city) enjoying nature, enjoying the landscape trying to get things out of my head

Fish oil has been studied, but the benefit has not been verified.

Meditation, Magic Mushrooms, walks and exercises especially HIIT, Rhodiola Rosea, Dziurawiec (Saint's John Wort - i prefer polish name), Eating fishes like Salmon (Omega 3), were only things which lowered my depression significantly. (Sex would be too if i'd not be incel so i'd recommend escortceling if you are feeling depressed)

Ashwagandha i have mixed feelings i think it makes me less anxious and sleepy but not much against depresion, NAC it does work sometimes on depression and anxiety but sometimes doesn't do anything so you have to experiment, l-theanine/green tea works mostly for anxiety depression effect is mild at best and after you take it for few weeks it will make my depression much worse for some reason, Inositol it was supposed to be anti depressive after few weeks but since it doesn't do anything for me after few days i stopped talking it maybe i will try again in future, Creatine at 4g could help you with depression, Vitamin D (Sunbaths)/Magnesium/Zinc/Potassium should be taken every day.
Bacopa monnieri is total trash it gave me even worse depression even tho my memory was sharper than ever.

Also fasting after 20h it makes my depression, anxiety and inflammation much better so 2-7 days of fasting would be great for mood. I've heard sleep deprivation could help with depression and can confirm it does work but you will feel like shit even without depression lmao.

Holy shit you switched countries? Must have been hard. I think, even for me, it is the lack of sunlight that gets me. I have living in the darkness, it really destroys my mind.

Thank you. I just purchased a bottle of Vitamin D. I will try it.

Yes, I walk in the dark, and it helps greatly with the suicidal thoughts. Exercise helps me a lot as well, otherwise I become suicidal, which is something I am trying to avoid for now. I go for a walk every day nowadays.

Hey man, thanks so much for that post. Thank you to everyone else who helped.

I really like the idea of fasting. I have heard that it lower inflammation. I also take tumeric for inflammation. I am going to skip breakfast from now on. Thanks for the other info. I fasted once a few years ago and it helped me, as I recall. I'll try it again.

Salmon is kind of expensive where I live (in a university). I have started to take cod liver oil, which is rich in Omega 3's as well as vitamin D. I hope that helps. I'll try tuna as well, as that is oil-rich fish. I never thought about amino acid supplements, but I will give them a try.

Thank you again to everyone.

Cod liver oil/ fish oil. And possibly magnesium. Those are the only necessarily supplements for most people. The rest of your nutrients you really should be sourcing from food only if possible. And stay away from grains: rice, bread, etc.

Zoloft ( original recipe ) starting with 25mlg, right up to 50mlg ( The sweet spot, for me )
It helps quite a lot.

Melatonin to sleep.
Cafeen to wake up.

I am taking cod liver oil. I have read that it is better than fish oil, because of the natural vitamin D. I am also taking a multivitamin, every other day. I have just started both.

Thanks. I have tried Paxil. It really messed me up and made me fat. I might try another antidepressant, however, if things get worse.

Melatonin to sleep.
Cafeen to wake up.
Thank you. I have tried caffeine, and have seen a positive effect. Melatonin I have read can make things worse.

Thank you again to everyone. if I find a combination that works I will post it here.

Just remember to do it in moderation and you'll be alright.

St. John's wort is legit. It helped me somewhat.
Same here. St. Johns wort.
I serm to be happier the next day.
But I can't do the full reccomended dose because it gives me a slight headache. Best taken with food. Probably carbs.
###

Also bike riding or endurance exercise! Get some endorphins going.. Makes happier and less pain.

You could try antidepressants, but those have potential for long term problems.

Troll holes using VPN with sock account.

wim hof, aka ice showers.

That is good to hear, hope the other advice here helps you. I just ordered my bottle on Amazon yesterday. Exercise helps me a lot too. It is a quick release of endorphins. It prevents my more suicidal thoughts.

Thanks a lot for that. NAC sounds legit. I have read that it is an actual medication. I will buy a bottle today.

Thank you again to everyone. I hope this info will be useful to others as well
