I'm not sure, but I don't think it's so much what you have lose, it's the fact that someone is selling you a dream. You don't really have to pay for those you know? Although it's obviously your decision.
 
The system is specifically rigged so that if you buy a certain number of tickets over time they are guaranteed to make more money off you than you win. Ie. The amount of the payouts are smaller and the rate at which they can be encountered are less than the cost of continuous lottery ticket purchases.

If buying lots of lottery tickets was a good or reliable way to make money everyone would do it and the lottery company would go bankrupt. In actual fact, just like casino jackpot machines, they are rolling in cash because of people that do this.

But if the cost is not so great you don't mind losing the money a few dollars here or there for a dream is not a bad price i suppose.

Playing the numbers game with lottery tickets and buying in bulk are both terrible ideas tbh, the lotteries are literally designed to lose you money in the long run.
Only pay small amounts for the chance of winning millions every once in a while, I limit myself to about 2€ per month. Doing so will give you some hope of changing your life with a miniscule probability of actually winning and the amount of money that you lose isn't actually going to affect you.

lol this isn't the first time I read someone in these kind of forums talking about trying to win the lottery. It probably won't work boyo, Elliot already tried it and he had enough cash to spend like 200$ in lottery tickets.
If you want to gamble your money anyway better go to a Casino. I have made over 300$ playing the roulette and BlackJack, you will probably still end up wasting your money but still more chance to win than the fucking lottery.
