It depends what you mean by racism. Some people think racism is anything that disagrees with "we are all the same", that there can be no significant or meaningful genetic difference between two separate populations of humans. E.g. white caucasians from northern europe are basically identical to australian aboriginals, and if you disagree you are racist.
Racism can also be simple ingroup preference, which is a basic human psychological trait. We are tribal animals, and everything we do and think is tribe orientated, no matter how much you try to disguise it. That is the biggest reason why ethnics struggle so much in non-ethnic countries.

Race is a pointless thing to classify people with tho because there is more variation within Racial groups than between and alsp a lot of admixture and overlap. There are some mixed Negros with blue eyes and full Europeans with dark brown eyes for example.

Different ersonalities and behaviors are a product of a society and not of the race itself. Most people only connect these 2 things and classify it as one thing.
This is not true in a meaningful way. 50 years of twin studies have shown the overall heritability of all measurable psychological traits (including IQ) to be about .5, with IQ specifically possibly being as high as .8. Outside of genes, "environment" is divided into shared (subject to systematic control: schooling, parenting, diet, economic status) and unshared (not subject to systematic control: experiencing an illness, having some sort of unique relationship/experience). Almost no contribution by shared environment has been found, meaning whatever isn't caused by genes lies somewhere in a person's life history that we can't control or modify.
The contributions of shared environment are trivial: being born in Japan explains why a person speaks Japanese, but it doesn't explain their linguistic proficiency or linguistic reasoning abilities, which would be the same if they had a different mother tongue, for example. The evolutionary processes that produced the recognizable *average* physiological differences we observe between races also produced different *average* neurology and psychology between the races--which is exactly what we'd expect even if we didn't have the data on hand, since the brain is a dna-created organ like any other, and an energy-expensive one at that.
It's a fascinating topic, and once I dug into the subject matter it helped to dispel a lot of liberal bullshit about why society is the way it is and why groups tend to have different outcomes compared to other groups, and it offers huge explanatory power when looking at people in general.
Its not but then I am a genetics-cel and most people don't know much about the subject. Technically when saying "race", we should really be saying "species". Species isn't a cut and dry term despite what you might think, because we classify different species despite them quite often being reproductively compatible. Basically "species" is a somewhat arbitary cut off point for saying a certain amount of 'speciation' has occurred between two groups of organisms. Speciation can be thought of as the amount of genetic difference acruing between these two groups. It can happen due to evolution selecting for certain traits for that particular environment, and it can happen just as a result of genetic drift. Speciation is balanced by gene flow, where the two popualtions mix and reproduce with each other where possible - this is why geographically isolated populations tend to "speciate" more quickly - think of the galapgos finches. They are all finches, but each evolved different beaks to suit their particular island, and it happened quite quickly because they were too far away to really reproduce with each other. They are different species, but can still reproduce.
Anyway race is a crude way to describe a certain phenotype, and the reality is that the genetics goes a lot further than what is just visible. Human populations have speciated in a very easily mappable way, and its not wrong to say that certain groups are more closely related to others.
I don't want to go any further because it will just start to sound racist, but that is the basic science of it.
