Questions about site features

When it comes to leveling up, do only posts count or do comments count as well? And also, how come certain features like image uploads in PMs are restricted to more experienced users? That rules fuckin dumb

I think only posts, mainly cause greys are known to upload bad things until they are trusted enough.

However I was a grey myself not long ago and not being able to see images/attachments was a minor inconvenience of switching browsers.
