i was a christian (never baptized tho) for less than 1 yr when i was an undergraduate. the reasons were complex:
  • i encountered a major setback in my studies, and there was no one to get help from;
  • i was studying history and adopted a rather eurocentric and theological view of history, like god willed the reformation, or the english revolution, etc;
  • i was anxious to know the future, both of my country and humanity, so i began studying prophecies of major religions, which led me to revelations and the book of daniel.

now back to the beginning. the study of revelations and the book of daniel yield little results. the classical interpretation of these books is just reformation era anti-rome propaganda. i changed my view of history naturally after leaving the religion. and i am still processing the major setback to this day.

so what does the religion sell? except "heaven" and "hell"?
The first promise is salvation from nihilism. this doesn't work because i haven't possessed the skill of double thinking. u can't believe a thing knowing it's false.
how did i find that christianity is false? i believe a person with normal cognitive abilities and reading skills ( that is, u remember what chapter 3 says when reading chapter 8) would naturally reach the conclusion that the bible is bs fairytale and jebus is just a lunatic doomsday preacher.
The second promise is community and social circle. this doesn't work because i found the seemingly friendly church mates were just anxious to get u baptized. once u are already baptized, or u needs to take some time, they gradually lost all interest in u.
The third promise is intellectual resources of christianity. the merit of this soon disappeared when i began my quest for philosophy. i started to despise christian theologians or philosophers flirting with christianity.
The fourth promise is a normie life. meet a girl at church activities, get married and have kids. i soon found that foids are foids, no matter what religion they believe in.

prophecies of major religions
i actually find islamic prophecies to be more convincing, not that i believe it. like this hadith (sahih al-bukhari 7121)
Narrated Abu Huraira:
Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "The Hour will not be established (1) till two big groups fight each other whereupon there will be a great number of casualties on both sides and they will be following one and the same religious doctrine, (2) till about thirty Dajjals (liars) appear, and each one of them will claim that he is Allah's Messenger (ﷺ), (3) till the religious knowledge is taken away (by the death of Religious scholars) (4) earthquakes will increase in number (5) time will pass quickly, (6) afflictions will appear, (7) Al-Harj, (i.e., killing) will increase, (8) till wealth will be in abundance ---- so abundant that a wealthy person will worry lest nobody should accept his Zakat, and whenever he will present it to someone, that person (to whom it will be offered) will say, 'I am not in need of it, (9) till the people compete with one another in constructing high buildings, (10) till a man when passing by a grave of someone will say, 'Would that I were in his place (11) and till the sun rises from the West. So when the sun will rise and the people will see it (rising from the West) they will all believe (embrace Islam) but that will be the time when: (As Allah said,) 'No good will it do to a soul to believe then, if it believed not before, nor earned good (by deeds of righteousness) through its Faith.' (6.158) And the Hour will be established while two men spreading a garment in front of them but they will not be able to sell it, nor fold it up; and the Hour will be established when a man has milked his she-camel and has taken away the milk but he will not be able to drink it; and the Hour will be established before a man repairing a tank (for his livestock) is able to water (his animals) in it; and the Hour will be established when a person has raised a morsel (of food) to his mouth but will not be able to eat it."

You must come to the cross and the true gospel and confess Jesus as Lord.

You had a bad experience with Christianity, so you are now scornful without good reason. If all "Reasonable" can overcome Christianity than how come so many people with more reason than both of us were and are Christians?

You will never learn anything if you think you are the smartest person alive

straw man fallacy. i never claim i am clever. but i am definitely smarter than christcucks here tho, judging from quality of posts.
without good reason
hyprocrisy, inconsistency, arrogance, ignorance, the list can go on and on.

"reason" does not equal to intellectual integrity. ppl believe in stuff knowing it's false.

do u think when u talk? what did jebus teach u?
41 “Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?
tell me, who else is more entitled and arrogant than christcucks?

These are mostly problems with people, not the actual religion. To which I sympathize with you on, and the many others on here, whom have a negative perception of Christ because of Christians.

I try to read your and the threads of non-Christians with an open mind, I only find that based on my life experience and research I have done, that Jesus Christ is the truth.

u cant seperate the two. the religion attracts certain types of ppl and cultivates certain types of personality.
How are you certain that you are seeing or have seen an accurate representation of Christian people?

an accurate representation is both impossible and unnecessary from a bayesian perspective.
if all christcucks are dicks, then their master is probably also dick.
research I have done
i dont trust ur research, judging from quality of your posts.

For example?

I attempt valiantly to converse civilly with you, but the number of personal attacks makes me question your own confidence in your positions.

Perhaps some of your critiques are worth reading but I am not sure how you ever expect anyone to take you seriously. Ad hominems usually allow people perceive you are unintelligent without a need to ever consider your positions because you have attacked their character.

YouTube videos and talking to me on an incel forum will never give you an accurate perception of anything.

do you think before u post? this entire post is about my experience in a christian church. how do u expect anyone to take u seriously

dont play this trick and blame it on me, it's really naive. u are not conversing, there's nothing being discussed between a proselytizer and a uninterested individual.
