Traore then begins mass ethnic cleansings on Muslim villages to "curb insurgencies." Your people, disillusioned, join Islamic militias that strike back against the regime. Throughout this conflict, some body with near-infinite resources whose entire job is to help settle this sort of thing (the UN Peacekeepers) refuses to intervene because they have nothing to gain from a resolution. Traore wins? No more plundering Burkina Faso. The militia wins? You have an Islamic state (and we seemingly can't have that now, can we?) So the gods that robbed you clean refuse to lift a finger.

I'd say some similar shit applies here. Nigga just sits there while the worst of the worst goes down on the planet he created.
