Also epic's support is known to be shit whereas in steam you can exploit its refund system if you are careful with your words people refunded helldivers 2 and gta 5 after 100s of hours. I can't imagine doing that with epic. Also once your epig account is hacked its gone meanwhile steam restores it in 12-15 hours .epig stops working if somehow your internet is disconnected whereas steam keeps working. Steam's 30% cut is harmful for the industry, especially when Valve is no different than Microsoft or Sony yet they make no games, make no hardware and subsequently subsidize it.
Steam is a passive money printer and alternatives like GoG/EGS function exactly the same way minus the social media features so I don't see why I shouldn't use them instead
