I dont think anyone should be taxed in an ideal world.
I accept that in our world you need some kind of state and you need to finance it somehow and in todays world this means taxation.
But I honestly understand why wealthy people should pay extra taxes because they are rich.
They dont create more costs then poor people to the state which would be the only reason to call for extra taxes

I agree in an ideal world, but as it stands right now, the government has bills to pay. We have to pay interest on the debt, basic services like military, infrastructure, judicial costs, administration, I would much rather the wealthy pay it than me. We could lower taxes on the lower and middle brackets if we shift the burden upwards.
