I’ve been interested in the franchise for a while cuz it does look cool but I don’t know what order to play and if it’s even good

I also am a person who hates bad graphics, I already know what you’re gonna say but I can’t help it. So if you make a list in what order to play maybe also include the point in the series where the graphics start getting watchable.

Graphics mean shit when the game is a slop catered for normies that see only muh cool graphics.

Yakuza 0 especially is a nice game and has a good story. I've already completed the game. It is also very long, so a lot of content for a cheap price. Get it.

I recommend playing 0 but be aware of long cutscenes, lot of dialogues and exposition
Don't bother playing the rest

For how long? It you didn't get into this franchise when it was dirty cheap then I doubt you're getting into it now that every game cost even more

Since I first saw it on yt a long time ago now just never got around to it

You will see
more so if you start with 0

Well if you want to get into it then just pirate them
I just checked and every game (except for Y0 Director's Cut and 8 not much of a loss honestly) is on GoG

Great franchise but the games get stale and repetitive (yakuza 0) I prefer like a dragon because of the turn-based combat tho

Haven't played them yet but i'm a big sleeping dogs fan how similar are they to that game? If at all

Start with Yakuza 0. Chronologically, this is the first game in the series due to being a prequel to Yakuza 1.

Next, play Yakuza Kiwami. This is a remake of Yakuza 1.

After that, Yakuza Kiwami 2, which is a remake of Yakuza 2.

The rest are simple to figure out due to being numbered sequels. If you do not mind turn-based games, you can play Yakuza: Like a Dragon afterwards.

The main difference is that Yakuza does not have vehicles and has more story.

In terms of similarities, they both nail the atmosphere of their respective locations, feature criminals, and focus primarily on melee combat. If you enjoyed the flashy environmental moves in Sleeping Dogs, Yakuza has a similar system.

Start with Yakuza 0 and go from there in chronological order is what I did.

Facts. I played 0 and it's decent but very overrated. Feels like a toned down, japanese version of GTA. The side quests / content are the only things elite about the game.
