PlayStation:
One of the most censored platforms and none of the new games interest me. I cannot think of one major third-party game I want to play.
Xbox:
Killed Halo. The only reason I ever played on Xbox.
Nintendo:
Their new games are mediocre and their hardware is shit. I'd rather just play my Wii, 3ds, or GameCube. I already regret getting a Switch.

"Just get a PC" I can't justify wageslaving for a PC when the only games I'm interested in playing are released before 2018. I already have all the new games I'm interested in and a hacked PS3. Gaming is dead to me.

the niggers that say this are typically only able to hold on to their words for a week

I know I'll never buy a console again.

If you like older games why not get a low budget PC or laptop, should be able to run them no problem

My PS2 is still my most played console, not even counting emulation

Yeah I'm done with gaming after this gen. Switch 2 is just simply overpriced. You get PS4 Pro hardware just to play games that have GameCube graphics. For Xbox and PS5 I have both and I'm just not into it anymore. Plus everything is getting more expensive.

Okay you make no sense buying a high end PC or all ways upgrading is a personal problem since no is forced to upgrade if all you do is play 2018 or esport games you won't upgrade your PC for a long time

Switch 2 only problem is game key carts and that if a used game you bought is cloned you can get banned

I have a PS2, PS5 and a laptop. It's enough for all the games I play.

i have a series x, one s, and a PC that i no longer use. Gaming is pretty much dead to me, i only play mobile games

I refuse to ditch my PS4 because I don't all my games digital.

I am still running some quad core AMD Ryzen with a GTX 1650 and it is plenty for the old games that I play.

I got it used for a SUPER GOOD price and it still works just fine.

No reason to upgrade. Let's say my GPU craps out of me, I'd just buy something similar, used aka sealed with the receipt and warranty.

Wise, and why PC gaming is very tough to beat. You can still play millions of games on cheap old hardware.

Just so you get an idea of how cheap it was.

It has the Ryzen 3200G, 16 Gb of 3200 MHz RAM, the GTX 1650, a one TB HDD 7200 RPM and a 512 Gb SSD.
The mainboard is some generic ASRock A320 but it gets the job done, and so does the case, holding it all together.

The PSU is nothing special, but has plenty of power for this efficient system.

For all this I have paid 200€ at a time when it was still considered new or pretty new and the GPU prices were already inflated.

Afaik all my PC games I can mac out with it except for PUBG, which requires at least a six core second gen Ryzen, but I don't care because I don't play it anymore.

PCs aren't even that expensive, you can build a good one for like $1900

If you are content with how games looked and performed then it's fine but i want something more i want to expand on them, pc was always about going beyond what was possible on consoles.

I love my freedom to do whatever i want i love fucking around with games, mods, ini settings and graphics. Consoles are like a jail to me that you can never escape.

You can play those old games with much better graphics at 4k, saving whenever you want and also with mods (if they have native pc port). PC overall has way more games than you ever had on consoles it's a different world.

PC is superior and you don't really need ultra expensive pc to emulate them. Just my rx 5700 xt + i7 12700k with mobo + 32gb ddr4 3200mhz of ram + some ssd is enough for everything even ps4. First three parts i have bought used for less than $500, you can reuse your tv screen, mouse + keyboard goes on sale all the time.

PC is always worth it if you want to expand your horizons with new experiences, but it seems you want to live only in the past with same old experiences you always did which is probably very nostalgic to you as it reminds you of times when you were younger.

Just play PS2 all day everyday

Even if you just want to play old console games, you can do so much more on emulator. PS2 games on 8K 120FPS with various graphical changes is a whole new experience.

Even an ancient PC it's better, and with Lossless Scaling which is a God-tier product, it's easy to bump up the fps which itself is huge.

emulators have input lag.

I really need to download entire romset of PS2 (and maybe PSX + gamecube) as joos may soon want to lock down entire internet and everything will be fucked including pirate websites

Not a bad idea. The collection I have from retroachievements has had a couple removal requests already.

You can build one cheaper then that intergrade graphics are getting better and the Ryzen g cpu can run monster hunter world
