There's so much fucking cutscenes and barely any gameplay. The gameplay itself is extremely simplistic and shallow. I don't understand the appeal of these games. Can't play without getting bored

I have one of the SC games on OG Xbox and it was pretty fun

Only played MGS5 and MGR:R Had fun with them since they were more based around gameplay rather than spamming cutscenes. PC port of MGS1-3 is trash so i haven't even bothered playing it, you nip trannies better make actual good pc port like MGS5 where i could aim and shoot using my mouse if not then fuck off.

Mgsv is one of the best games I have ever played, the gameplay is so good.
Mgs3 felt very dated gameplay wise, but the story is very cool.
Peacewalker was overall good with a much better control scheme than mgs3

Peacewalker is probably the best metal gear game.
I played a few of them ages ago and liked them specially MGS3.
Based on what other usERs here said, I think I may actually give this a try one day.
If you play the games in the wrong order itll be like shit experience wise. Long cutscenes come from the fact that kojima took inspiration of real world situations from politics to military shit to social science(mgs2). And combine them with the story. MGS1 was about hpw goverments get reckless developing WMDs wile evading laws. MGS2 is about idividualism and society. MGS3 is kinda its own thing. MGS4 is about how a soldier ages so horribly after spending time in war for so long. MGS5 is about hardcore mental decline. Peace walker is about how therell never be peace in the world. The game never glorifies war. The gamplay may be gaming but the story is about the cost of war. And in war. Nothing is simple.
