One wasn't familiar with the process. I thought you had to stay for a certain amount of years, and that you get deployed somewhere in the world...
I mean, I doubt that the U.S. will actually ever get into any wars any time soon. The only place I could imagine it happening would be Iran, but even then, how would they deploy troops there? I thought of becoming a Marine, honestly, but I don't really know—one hasn't given it much thought.

I’d imagine they just order you to fly you out to a base in the Middle East and just tell you what the operation is, say a little prayer and hope you don’t get shot.

Le this, Sure all of the combat arms job look badass, well your only going to be doing badass shit for 1-3 weeks out of the year, the rest is being at the motorpool and complementing suicide every single day.
The military will lower their standards to any means necessary. We are seen as cannon fodder.
My job is being cannon fodder, my life expectancy in a actual war is 8 seconds
they actually prefer incels, because gamers are superior at drone piloting, have the ability to learn technical things, dont question the morality of it all, and are surprisingly less fat in general
