Hollow Knight is the Greatest Game Ever Made

Bit of a necropost but this thread was last up a month ago, but i beat HK the other day after taking my time and I really enjoyed it. I really enjoyed the overall feel of the game when i gto to grips with the movement system, and the combat was very simple but allowed for a variety of playstyles. Didn't beat white palace, trial of fools or godhome but i still thoroughly enjoyed my time with it and it reminded me of why i like video games.

Yeah, it's a great game. I also did not finish any of those things, those are extra challenges to keep you entertained. What's more i jumped to Silksong when it launched. I'm gonna be honest i did not enjoy it much.

I feel like it's quite inferior to the base game in a lot of aspects. Like i don't really give that much of a damn about the lore and the game felt punishing and tedious a lot of the time, it expects you to play well and rewards bad plays with punishment. I also did not enjoy the cheating flying enemies and the necesary farm for rosaries or shards to keep using weapons.

If you have the time give it a try and tell me what you thought of it, i personally prefer base HK over SK, i just got the base ending for SK and i'm not sure if i'll pick it up again
