Gaming Do you use a Mouse Pad for your mouse?

Does it improve gaming at all?
Also, what about raised mouse pads? (Pic related)
I suspect you are supposed to wrest your wrist in the middle and the mouse goes on her head. Do you guys think this would be comfortable? I usually play 4-8hr gaming sessions

I do not use a mouse pad at all because the table I have makes it just unnecessary

Back in the day of mechanical (roller ball) mice, I used a mousepad, but these days with optical mice, I just set it directly on the table.
