The worst part is that even graphics cards that were decent a few years ago are ending up in landfills because they can no longer be used for crypto but they could've sold it or gave it away to someone to use for gaming.Nah, the GPU shortage is real. It's been a perfect storm of limiting factors.
And it's not that AMD and Nvidia are making that much money from the shortage, but also the manufacturers of cards and retailers are all taking a slice.
I blame crypto miners and scalpers.
Currently the best deal for gaming is to buy an Xbox and an Xbox pass. The worst part is that even graphics cards that were decent a few years ago are ending up in landfills because they can no longer be used for crypto but they could've sold it or gave it away to someone to use for gaming.
I personally don't care about contemporary video games anymore since I feel like games of today are very stale. Granted there might be a few indie games and other hidden gems that are really good but I could care less tbh.Currently the best deal for gaming is to buy an Xbox and an Xbox pass.
That's what I do too. Wikipedia has a series of articles like <year> in video games (e.g. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2009_in_video_games) and you can quickly go through the list a see all notable games that you may have missed.I personally don't care about contemporary video games anymore since I feel like games of today are very stale. I love pre-2010s video games tho (both 2D and early 3D) which is why I'll just stick to my DSi, PS3 and Wii and then play emulated NES, SNES and GBA games on my old PC.
Yeah, even in the 2000s gaming was awesome unlike today. Warhawk on the PS3, GTA IV, New Super Mario Bros., Mario Kart Wii, Super Smash Bros. Melee, Pokemon Generation 3 and 4, all those other classics. That's what I do too.
