The persecution, destruction and murder of Pagan Europe infuriates me. Christians are quick to point out that Muslims are pouring into Europe and replacing their culture, yet this is what Christians did to Pagans the second they set foot in Europe.
I acknowledge the positive side of Christianity just the same. Geniuses of art, science, literature, and technology had a place to study and elevate the human condition because the Church funded it, namely the monasteries. Historians are forever going to be in debt to monks who protected the knowledge gathered by these monasteries when there were threats of heavy destruction by hostile tribes, like hiding the manuscripts with translated languages in nearby forests so that they would be preserved.
I believe Christianity has a place in future Europe. So does Paganism.
