An LSD experience is a genuine "peak life" experience, but you have to set it up correctly:
--Be in an environment where you will be safe and won't have to interact with people.
--It's a stimulant that will keep up for hours, so don't do it at night-time if you have to get up in the morning.
Anyway, as to the LSD experience itself: During its duration (which can last up to 10 hours, and you'll feel an after-glow the next few days) your mind will free itself of its "default mode" and your mind will perceive all boundaries disappearing, visually and emotionally. You'll be more sensitive and empathetic with everything and make insights about your environment and the people you know. It's also just a fucking blast if things go correctly.
However, a bad "trip" is a genuine nightmare. You will feel your ego getting smothered. That's why you have to set up the experience carefully. I got into some family drama while peaking on LSD (my first and only time doing it) and the experience was hell -- but everything before and after that was pleasurable. And the unique thing about psychedelics like LSD is that you won't have the desire to do it again immediately -- like you have a good trip and you're good for months on end.
And thankfully psychedelics are increasingly getting normalized. Listen to this interview on NPR:

The world has denied you prime aged pussy. Why not cope with LSD and shrooms?
