If you do 40 hours a week with min wage it doesn't mean shit tbh. Basically you have just enough for necessities and maybe a little extra for whatever you wanna do if you're lucky. I have a hard time faulting people for NEETing when the very society they live in doesn't offer them decent opportunities. The days of fair wages are over. Even my coworker acknowledges you need a dual median income to even have a shot at owning a house these days because he's not out of touch/retarded like a boomer that literally lived life on easy mode, screwed things over for future generations, and didn't need to deal with the women of today.
And how much you get paid has absolutely nothing to do with how competent you are at your job. It's just a matter of getting people to like you. I literally got a job through a friend and was living pretty comfortably for a while. I wasn't hired for any sort of special merit it was just luck and people liking me so I shit all over that meritocracy shit some people try to push.
