The concept of "hard work" getting you far is one of the great lies perpetuated by society. I have known men who have slaved away their entire lives and got absolutely nowhere.
Nepotism, generational wealth, physical attractiveness, and social status matter far more. The modern work environment mirrors high school a lot more than you might initially assume.
Most men work in order to find a wife and have kids, or to fuck bitches, party, etc. As an incel, you know it's not happening so you just give up. Copes like vidya, reading, movies, browsing are not that expensive in the grand scheme of things.

when i was a senior in highschool i got made fun of by younger normies when i told them i never had a job
im pretty low iq and im no psychologist and i dont know how to articulate this in the ideal way and idk if its water or not but this is what ive been thinking about for a while so heres my rant
i think people who were always stage 3 or higher on the hierarchy of needs dont mind things that we find to be very brutal such as wageslavery or running the risk of being betabuxxers/cucked/divorce raped as they were never societal rejects and were always generally liked so they obviously subconciously feel more of a sense of community and belonging than we do (and are ultimately willing to go through certain hardships if that means staying within the realm of normalcy, such as the aforementioned wageslavery and betabuxxing/divorce rape) leading to the feeling of obligation to blindly follow the path that society has set for them and shun anybody who opposes or deviates from it. on the opposite side, incels have been denied of basic life experiences and thats why we are more inclined to seek NEETdom and not follow the path society wants them to go down. also incels just have bad mental health on average which would make them a bad employee so even if most incels tried to get a job it would be pretty hard for them due to poor mental health on top of being ugly and thats why i think those normteenagers absolutely shit on me after i said i never had a job as an 18 year old, because i deviated from the norms of the society that granted them with their basic needs ever so slightly and got punished for it
