The PSU went pop about a week ago, lol

And I have no radiators in this house (electric heating atm) and so I had no way to ground myself too effectively but I tried and then tore the thing apart and dusted it and etc etc.

And... SOMEHOW it survived the popping PSU and the badly grounded dusting (obvs not with a literal duster!) and it works!

It's only a cheap and fairly weak PC but oh well I've grown to love it now :D

So yah I ordered and installed a new PSU and all that.

I do have an empty and rather stylish full size ATX case behind me (this current PC is a small proprietary machine that I upgraded a fair bit) so at some point I'll build a new machine but tbh I can't be bothered messing around with setting up Windows and stuff again!

So yah erm... hooray! I got so bored with using my phone all the time!

When my PC stops working I give it a good kick with my knee and it‘s good as new

used to do same thing because old psu was loud as fuck

I also should have added that because it's this little proprietary machine it was a frickin' nightmare trying to tear it down, lol

I mean, OK I could imagine worse but yeah much more involved and unusual than with a standard ATX machine!

In normal machines they're fairly easy to replace.

I can't remember if I usually had to remove any other components to do it but I don't think it was too bad. It probably depends on the case.
