Too old to play new games, old games are too old to be played again?

I mostly play games from late 1990s and early 2000s
The newest video game that I played was GTA 5.
I also regularly played Dota 2, CSGO, etc. 10-14 years ago.
I have tried to start gaming again. I bought GTA Triology, GTA V, and some moddable classic games but the gameplay and enemy AI is so rudimentary it's not fun.
I played minecraft too, DayZ, etc.
ArmA 3 is dead now.
I need to slowly and controllably introduce new games to play. I also played Project Zomboid, Skyrim, and briefly Fallout 3 New Vegas. I played Fallout 4 for a few hours but it wasn't fun.

It’s arma and yes you can play it alone with Random’s

either require 10 hours of patches to work on new OS, full resolution issues (like the viewmodel floating around), or outdated gameplay by today's standards.

Who cares about today's standards, I'm sure you can find something in the thousands of games out there.
