Most eye opening experience of my life was being detained for a week and being watched 24/7 because i wanted jaw surgery after wearing retractive headgear and having 8 teeth extracted. I hate all psychologists/psychiatrist's and i hate my parents for standing by and letting it happen. There's no turning back once you've realized you've been treated as a second class citizen your entire life. Parents are kicking me out this week, i'm gonna have to rot in a $300 pos car with no money no internet no friends no chance of being employed no nothing.

Okay, so you made a scene while you were presumably on thin ice with your parents as is, considering how you acted i would guess it was a cakewalk for your parents to convince therapist(who was annoyed as is) to have you institutionalized which was their agenda already. 

Now could you elaborate more on the relationship with your parents?
From what i gather there is disappointment, lack of connection and possibly resentment involved, my conclusion is you failed their expectations.
Could you tell me what did they want from you? What did they want you to do or become?
"a lost cause" is used when one fail over and over to change/improve their behaviour/traits, now considering that ppl with autism posses little to none social self-reflection skills i would assume something in that nature to be the case.
