I don't think the Ukraine army is going to collapse soon. But since Russia is so much larger the Russians can keep adding soldiers. And the Russians can add soldiers along the frontlines and add more frontlines to spread the Ukraine army out. There will be places where the Russian army has a big advantage along the front, and those places are where the Russians can be advancing. Every area that Russia takes over is people and industry that Ukraine no longer has, and Russia then has.
At minimum the Western countries will have to find some way to increase the size of the Ukraine army to generally keep up with the growing Russian army.
