Furries are mentally ill. It's not synonymous with autism, but I suppose there could be a correlation.

Same for the homosexual/transgenderism movement. They prey on awkward, impressionable autistic boys, trying to make them hate their own masculinity.

Probably because humans are horrible to autists, so some of us seek alternatives. I don't really know, because I'm not one of them.
