Discussion Why people lie about not studying for tests, when it’s pretty obvious that they have?

They’ll lie straight to your face that they didn’t study for a test, and then complain about their high score. Why do they still insist on lying when nobody believes them in the first place? Someone who actually doesn’t study for their tests won’t care about their marks, and may even feel ecstatic about getting a high mark, since anyone who doesn’t actually study for their tests would know that getting a decent score without studying feels more euphoric than getting a perfect score with studying.
