Looks mattering is literally watER. Everybody knows looks matter.

If looks didn't matter, then the word "looks" wouldn't exist. Terms like "ugly" and "pretty" wouldn't be used. People wouldn't make fun of others looks. People wouldn't try to improve their looks

If you unironically grew up thinking that looks don't matter, you have no awareness at all and you probably have very strong autism or a significantly below average IQ score. This also explains IT users who champion that "looks don't matter" while being the archetypal proof of the opposite:

("looks don't matter bro, i got my [m34] first gf [f45] last year, she has been with other men before but i don't mind, inkies are just people who don't put in the effort" :soy: )

The time you "got blackpilled" was actually not the moment you realized that "looks matter", it was the moment you realized that YOUR looks were below the threshold.

Getting blackpilled actually just is realizing your own ugliness. It's a hit of self-awareness. No walking human has ever actually been "bluepilled", everyone is blackpilled naturally but they just haven't had the self-realization yet.

The reason why people are "bluepilled" is that they are simply trying to be polite. As soon as you are not polite back, they will magically start attacking your looks which means that they were always "blackpilled" to begin with.

The black, brutal pill kills me every day.

I’d say the whole 4chan forum culture and weird terminology used by looksmaxxers went mainstream rather than the blackpill itself. Everyone and their mom knows looks matters

People have always generally known that looks matter, but society operates in a way that it needs people to believe that there is always hope for anyone as long as they put in the effort, or whatever other nonsense they push—that's the blue-pill.

The red-pill is an 'awareness' that the mass opinion and ideas pushed by society is false, and that there's actually a different, 'hidden' kind of effort you're supposed to put in so that you are considered attractive. In most cases, it's the idea that you just need to grind at the gym and become the most physically built person you can be, all so you can establish yourself as the 'alpha.'

The black-pill is a complete rejection of all of that. Ultimately, it's an extension of fatalism in that, no matter what you do, your life was determined the moment your genes combined together and you came to be as a person.

In that respect, people hate the idea of the black-pill. I'm not entirely sure why, but it seems that Man heavily, heavily relies on hope in order to justify his existence—the idea that things can get better, that they could improve, and that there is something to strive for. The vast majority of people won't even entertain the idea of the black-pill, they just can't handle it.
