Everytime I play a online game, some player would blast shitty music on VC (voice chat), the lyrics would go as follow

FUCK ASS NIGGA SWAG GUN BITCH ASS SEX DRUG FUCK SHIT POP YOU WHAT NIGGA POPPIN WHATS GOOD OG CUZ DOPE WEED PUSSY ASS HOOD DICK MONEY GANG

Full of Lyrics that doesn't make sense or some don't even fit the melody at all.

Killshot by ENIEIM is considered the best rap out there, yet it doesn't sound much better than other raps.

Rap music are low effort, autotuned, no creativity whatsoever. Melody is a loop of three-five sounds, lyrics are poorly written and just spam of curse words.

Yet they're the most popular 'music' says a lot about our society

I never understood that either, tbh. Most rap/hip - hop music sounds like shit to me. Although i gonna admit, i've discovered some rap songs, which i genuinely do like.

Rap 'music' has always been garbage to me. It is entirely manufactured not created. It's mind-numbingly the same all around. The same shit they either bit or brag about with just a few tunes in the background for all of it. I hate it. The only time it sounded ok was when my friend used to play it jokingly while we were drunk and high. See we needed to acquire temporary brain damage to like it at all.

I can't find it now but I remember there was a documentary on how this all started. Some music industry executives heard about underground rap and thought, how can we use this shit to get the youth to consoom it? Lets do some market studies to find out.

Eventually they found out all the wish fufillment fantasies about it so they decided to promote rap artists who spewed this crap in media and commercials. It was a massive hit of course. The record industry made gorillions of it. Its the perfect business case example for marketing etc.

I don't think I will be able to find this documentary anymore coz it is such a massive blackpill its unreal. Its basically the equivalent of the CIA admitting it poured in crack to the black communities in the 80s to stop them getting uppity and to make them slaves forever.

The truth is there's almost like a formula to creating a pop song that appeals to an average normie senses. Its almost genetic in a way. These include

4/4 rythmn
Short length of 3-4 minutes
Simple subject matter most normies can relate to like love
Simple and easy to understand lyrics
A catchy chorus to keep them hooked
A lot of repetition

And it keeps on working every time. Thats why Max Martin has 20+ number 1 hits. Its like Marvel shitting out capeshit movies.

Yeah mainstream is so terrible in movies and music. Marvel and star wars are awful yet make the most money. Mainstream music is on another level of garbage. Directors like David fincher should be making 1b+ per movie instead of soy wars or avengers

True U have noticed this a lot. Normies have very low intellect. So their tastes in most things are probably pretty bad. I can't even listen to modern hip hop for 3 seconds. Only hip hop I can listen to is 90s gangsta rap only because I played GTA SA too much. I listen to many genres and in western music, I like classic rock the most. But hip hop is something which is just boring to listen

It’s possible to like a form of music while separating it from the experiences that inspired it in the first place. Like how people can enjoy classical music without being from the 1700s. People can enjoy rap and hiphop without condoning violence or drugs.

I have edited in "aspirational neurotypicals" among the rap consuming demographic, who are not actually too distinct from psychopaths in terms of their fakeness, narcissism, and social climbing behaviors tbhngl. Although they do certainly have fears which are played upon in order to control them (indeed, part of their fakeness is pretending as though they're badasses, precisely through the medium of rap).
