why do some people in apartments keep their curtains open

Its winter and dark at 4 in the afternoon already. Then when i open my window to smoke they want to start behaving like i am purposefully trying to spy on the idiots.

Idk. I keep my blinds and curtains shut whenever I am inside. When I am outside I really don't care, all the same to me, just a bunch of stuff the normies could look at.
